Any user can navigate trialinternational.org without disclosing personal information. Only voluntarily shared information is stored by TRIAL International. This is the case, for example, when signing up for the newsletter or donating. In general, this is limited to the following information: name, first name, address, phone number, and email address.

PURPOSE AND CATEGORIES OF PERSONAL DATA WE PROCESS

- Online contact form: name, surname, address, email address, any other data possibly provided in the form;
- Members: name, surname, address, email address, financial data such as payment information;
- Donors: name, surname, address, possibly email address, financial data such as payment information;
- Recruitment: CV, training, diplomas, recommendation letter, references, other data possibly provided within the scope of the recruitment process;
- Interaction and usage data: user preference feedback, device type, operating system; internet site access software;
- Website data: user’s IP address, cookie-related information (see cookie policy), time, date and duration/frequency of visits.
OUR WEBSITE
As with most websites, trialinternational.org collects non-personally identifiable information typically made available by web browsers and servers, such as browser type, preferred language, referring site, and the date and time of each visitor request. By collecting non-personally identifiable information, the goal of WordPress.org (hosting services) is to better understand how visitors to trialinternational.org use the website. Occasionally, trialinternational.org may publish aggregated non-personal information, for example, by releasing a report on its website usage trends.
Trialinternational.org also collects potentially personally identifiable information, such as Internet Protocol (IP) addresses. When third-party service providers have access to your data, they only collect the data necessary for the fulfillment of their tasks.
Sharing or using the data for any other purpose is prohibited.
DATA RETENTION DURATION
TRIAL International processes and stores your data for the duration necessary to fulfill contractual or legal obligations, for the duration required for the purposes for which they were collected, as long as legitimate interests persist, or until the given consent is withdrawn.
In certain circumstances, TRIAL International may be obliged to retain your personal data for a longer period due to legal requirements or for statistical purposes. In this latter case, the data is rendered anonymous.

RIGHTS OF THE DATA SUBJECT
- Access and information: you can request to know what information about you is being retained by TRIAL International and receive a copy of it. You can also inquire about the processing, its purpose, the retention duration, and any data transfer, if applicable;
- Rectification: you can request the correction of your personal data;
- Erasure (right to be forgotten): you can request the deletion of your personal data unless the data are still necessary for the purpose for which they were collected.
In this context, TRIAL International has an obligation of means. It must take into account the available technologies and their implementation costs, and cannot guarantee the complete erasure of data.
- Restriction of processing: you can request the restriction of the process of your data if:
- You contest the accuracy of your data;
- You don’t wish to assert your right to erasure;
- You want us to retain your data beyond the retention period of their processing;
- In case of a dispute, you request the suspension of the processing of your data until it is resolved;
- Portability: you can request to receive the data held by TRIAL International to transmit it to another entity;
- Objection: at any time, for a legitimate reason, you can object to the processing of your data if no principle of lawfulness prevails on your request;
- Withdrawal of consent: you have the right to withdraw a consent to the processing of your personal data at any time;
- Complaint to a supervisory authority: you have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) in Switzerland), in the member state of your residence, your place of work or the place where the violation occurred if you believe that a breach of current legislation has occurred in the processing of your personal data.
